TNA Sacrifice Results

So this past Sunday, TNA had their ppv Sacrifice and it was a pretty solid show. The first match of the evening was the number one Contenders Match for the Tag Titles that featured Beer Money, Inc. vs. The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Team 3D. It was a really good match that saw The MCMG win the match and earn a tag title shot.

Next up was the TNA Global Championship Match between Rob Terry (c) and Orlando Jordan. I tell OJ is a good wrestler but I think they might be pushing the edge a little to far with his character. Thankfully Rob Terry won the match and kept his title.

The best match of the night was the TNA X Division Championship Match that featured
Kazarian (c) versus Doug Williams. I really enjoy Doug Williams wrestling and character. He has some of the funniest promos ever. Fortunately for him, all that talent helped him regain his title.

The next match was Knockouts Title vs. Career between Madison Rayne (c) and Tara. This was obviously a match that just made to kill time because everyone knew the outcome. Madison Rayne wins and Tara is leaving TNA.

Probably the worst match of the night happened to be the TNA Tag Team Championship Match between Scott Hall and Kevin Nash (c) and Ink Inc. Here was the problem. Hall really can’t work, Nash can’t move like he use to, Jesse Neal doesn’t have enough experience and Shannon Moore is the only one who could do anything in the match. Eventually Brother Ray of Team 3D came in and cost Ink Inc. the tag titles and left in disgust.

I really enjoyed the stipulations in this match. Chelsea vs. Ring in a match between Desmond Wolfe and Abyss. Desmond tried to cheat his way to victory but in the end, he got a Black Hole Slame for his troubles. Now Abyss gets Chelsea’s services for 30 days. This should be totally interesting to see how they play this out.

Mr. Anderson is such a great talker. He can talk people in to watching his matches without laying a hand on his opponents. Fortunately his opponent has a huge following and that would be Jeff Hardy. I remember back in 2007, at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids I watched these two guys on Monday Night Raw. It was a great match which got the fans pumped for both men. This match was solid but not great. I’ve seen better from these two but it was a great win for Jeff Hardy.

The next match wasn’t even really a match. Sting totally beatdown Jeff Jarrett. This went on for a good 10-15 minutes and then finally Sting got the pin. Hogan eventually had to come out and stop the beating Sting was giving Jarrett. I’ll be curious to see what happens with Jarrett and Sting next.

The Main Event of the evening was the TNA Championship Match between Rob Van Dam (c) and AJ Styles. This was a great match that went back and forth. I would really like to see these two go at it again. RVD won with the 5-Star Frog Splash after Jay Lethal took out Ric Flair. Great main event and pretty good pay-per-view. Hopefully Slammiversary will be just as good as the last two pay-per-views I’ve seen.
