Thoughts on WWE Hell in a Cell

Tonight was the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View and it was a solid wrestling pay-per-view. WWE pay-per-views haven’t sucked lately but they don’t standout either. I’ll start with the one thing I didn’t like. I really think their is no point to the double Sin Cara feud. In my opinion it’s just two goofs in a mask jumping off trampolines. Honestly that’s my only complaint about the night.

Cody Rhodes retains the Intercontinental Title

The one thing that I liked the most is the re-introduction of the old Intercontinental Championship. It’s the belt that was use in the 80’s and 90’s. It signifies in my opinion that the Intercontinental Title means something again. I like the fact that Cody Rhodes, Mark Henry and Dolph Ziggler are getting lengthy title reigns. They make those titles mean something and just aren’t passed around like a bunch of hot potatoes.

I really enjoyed the main event which was the Triple Threat match for the WWE Title. The story, psychology and tone of the match was great. Del Rio is really solidifying himself as the top heel right now. The only heel thats more over is Mark Henry just for the mere fact he’s destroying people. However nothing will top the ending of the show when Miz and R-Truth came out and attacked everyone in the cell which led to all the superstars and Triple H coming and breaking the cell door open. Miz and Truth were arrested and HHH went on the war path.

What a great way to end the PPV. It left me wanting more and it’s going to make for a great Monday Night Raw and it’s also a great buildup for Survivor Series on November 20th. It wasn’t brutal or bloody but Hell in  a Cell was chaotic.
