Thoughts on the Panthers loss.

Five interceptions, are you kidding me? That’s my initial reaction right now as I think about the Carolina Panthers loss to the Arizona Cardinals last night. Jake Delhomme is a great guy and a good Quarterback who has a remarkable comeback after Tommy John’s surgery but he picked the wrong night to have his worst game of the season. The higher ups might look at this and realize Jake is no longer the guy they need to get them over the hump. Five interceptions in a playoff game is unacceptable. My initial thoughts right now are “Jake, don’t let the door hit you in the butt on your way out. I’ll be curious to see what Carolina does in the draft now. Their are a lot of good quarterbacks in the draft this year so if they draft one, it wouldn’t surprise me.

I would also like to know what the heck, Offensive Coordinator Jeff Davidson was thinking last night with his play selection. They went against everything they did all year. You have two great running backs and they barely saw an action last night. Another reason they lost. Arizona had everything scouted on offense and defense. I can admit when my team loses. And boy did the lost horribly. I am not upset they lost, I am upset about how they lost.

All I can hope for is the 2009-10 season the end better. I’ll be paying close attention to see what happens in the off season. Until then, better luck next year!
