Pudge sets record

The other night Pudge Rodriguez set the record for the most games caught by a catcher passing Hall of Famer Carlton Fisk. Ironically he did it against the team he started with, the Texas Rangers in Arlington. I’ve always respected Pudge as a player and credit him for being a huge part of the turn around the Detroit Tigers had.

Pudge has one World Series Ring to his credit, and that was with the improbable Florida Marlins team who ended up beating the New York Yankees. If you ask me Pudge Rodriguez will will go down as one of the best catchers of all time if not the best. Congratulations Pudge on setting a record that’s going to be hard to catch.
