NBA All-Star Weekend Recap

This past weekend was the NBA All Star Game along with the other festivities that are included in it. The weekend began on Friday with Rookies and Sophomores Game and then a Dunk off to get into Saturdays Slam Dunk Contest.

Saturday was an action-packed night. Team Texas won the Shooting stars challange much to the delight of the crowd. Steve Nash won the skills challange, proving once again he is a great all around player. Paul Pierce won the 3-point shootout for the second time. The coolest thing of the night is that Nate Robinson won the Slam Dunk Contest for the third time in a row. No on other player has done that which is impressive for the little guy.

On Sunday, the All Star Game was held in new Cowboys stadium. The game was filled with a lot of action, no defense and a lot of drama. The East beat the West 141-139 with Dwayne Wade being named the MVP. There was 108,713 people who packed the stadium which made it the highest attended basketball game of all time. What a great weekend and a great moment for Jerry Jones, Mark Cuban and everyone else involved. Now it’s time for the second half of the season. It’s time to see who moves on and who goes home. Stay tuned.
