Thoughts on the USA vs. Canada Hockey Game

Last night I watched the United States take on Canada in a really great Hockey game last night. I usally don’t get overly excited about any hockey game but considering I am an American I knew this game would be good and intense. It was a high emotional game from both sides and it had a lot of action.

In the first period Brian Rafalski quicky scored in the first fourty one seconds and scored midway through the same period. Eric Staal for Canada scored as well. United States has six shots on goal, and Canada had nineteen.

In the second period Dany Heatley scored for Canada and Chris Drury scored for the USA. The United States had thirteen shots on goal and Canada had twelve shots on goal in the second quarter.

In the third quarter Jamie Langenbrunner, and Ryan Kesler scored for the United States and Sidney Crosby scored for Canada. The United States had four shots on goal and Canada had fourteen shots goal in the final period. Both goalies Ryan Miller and Martin Brodeur did the best they could be when you got mega teams like that it’s hard to shut anyone out. Just think this was just the preliminary round.

Both teams put on a showing and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them face off again for the Gold Medal. What a great game to be watching if you love Hockey. Keep watching to see if USA plays Canada again. One can only hope.
