TNA Impact Recap- 2/18/2010

Last night on Impact was another great night for wrestling. The show started off with Eric Bischoff saying he was in charge and things were going to go his way. The Pope made his way to the ring and talked about being the number one contender until he was confronted and beatdown by Ric Flair and AJ Styles.

The first match of the night was between Tara and Daffney. Nothing special here because Daffney was DQ’d and brought to the back by Stevie. Samoa Joe then lost to Orlando Jordan which surprised the heck out of me. I think they are going to have Joe get crazy again by attacking everyone until he gets a rematch with AJ for the title.

The returning Kaz teamed up with Amazing Red and Generation Me as they defeated Doug Williams, the Motor City Machine Guns and Brian Kendrick. This was a high octane match and very fast pace. It’s could to see Kaz back and he is the one who got the pinfall for the victory.

Eric Bischoff ordered Jeff Jarrett to take on Abyss and use the barbwired baseball bat. Jeff acted like he was going to use it but decided against it. Bischoff stopped the match and had a group of wrestlers attack Abyss. They were going to take off his mask until Hogan made the save and told Abyss to get into his office. Hogan had a pep talk with Abyss and made Abyss realize that he has the potential to be great in wrestling. At the end of the segment Hogan gave Abyss his WWE Hall of Fame ring for inspiration.

Beer Money defeated the British Invasion and it’s easy to see why. Rob Terry and Brutus Magnus have not been getting along at all. I think we may be seeing the end of the British Invasion and World Elite as we know it. Speaking of the World Elite, Eric Young has been by Kevin Nash’s side ever since Hall and Waltman attacked him. There was a confrontation between the four men and the show ended with Hogan staring Hall and Waltman down.

The Main Event of the evening was Kurt Angle taking on Daniels and Kurt Angle won with the ankle lock. After the match Mr. Anderson came down and beat Angle down again and told Kurt that he is in hell. The feud between Angle and Anderson is far from over.

TNA Impact moves to Monday Nights on March 8th and there is a lot of excitement in the air for the Monday Night Wars to begin once again. Stay tuned for more.
