Lebron James Wins MVP

For the second year in a row Lebron James has won the NBA’s MVP award. He recieved received 116 of a possible 123 first-place votes which is crazy. I personally think Kevin Durant should have been co-MVP because Durant had just as good of numbers if not better the James. Lebron James is in an elite class now of players who won MVP two years in a row. The players he joins are Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Moses Malone, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan and Steve Nash.

Lebron James is a great player but I am sick of hearing about how he’s better the Jordan, or how he’s the next Jordan. There will never ever be another Michael Jordan. He was one of a kind, and he transcended the game and brought it more into the spotlight then it already was. He allowed players like Lebron to get huge endorsement deals from shoe companies as well as other brands. Before MJ came along I really don’t know of anyone who got huge endorsement deals.

Lebron is a free agent after the playoffs are over so I will be curious to see what he does and where he goes. Will Lebron finally win a championship for Cleveland or will he bolt to New York after the season is over. Stay tuned to find out.
