Thoughts on ECW in TNA

Last night I watched TNA Impact and heard Tommy Dreamer’s promo on what ECW and TNA meant to him and how they were simliar. I couldn’t agree more with him on everything he had to say. I don’t think what he said was scripted. I really thought it was very heart felt and real. For weeks, the ECW originals have been showing up in TNA and last week there was the brawl that ended the show.

I believe bringing in ECW to TNA is a great thing for pro wrestling. I think the originals will blend in well with the current TNA roster. TNA is trying everything it can to compete with the WWE and this could be the one thing that might get them over the hump. The pro wrestling fans have wanted to see hardcore wrestling for a while now. WWE has become watered down, stale, predictable and boring. TNA will be getting all those ECW fans that hate what WWE stands for.
