Thoughts on Ndamukong Suh and more

I will admit that I am not a Detroit Lions fan but when Ndamukong Suh took Jake Delhomme and ripped him to the ground in the Lions preseason game against the Browns, I cheered. One because I hate Jake and the failure he became in Carolina. Number two, because the Lions haven’t had anything to cheer for since Barry Sanders. Even though Suh was fined he put everyone on notice that the Lions defense should be feared this year. Along with Suh they have Kyle Vanden Bosch, Corey Williams, Julian Peterson and Chris Houston. So if you’re an opposing Quarterback playing Detroit season I would be watching every side. It will be awhile before the Lions become a serious threat again but if their offense can stay on the field long enough, the defense will be very good this year.

A lot of last minute moves are being made before the first week of the season. Some of those moves include:

Arizona Cardinals- released QB Matt Leinart.
Baltimore Ravens- released QB Troy Smith
Dallas Cowboys- traded WR Patrick Crayton to San Diego for future considerations

There are a lot of guys out of a job right now including T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Willie Parker, and Michael Clayton. Will these guys find a home or will they be sitting out the 2010 season? Stay tuned to find out.
