More Baseball Offseason News

Well it’s time for weekly update on who has signed with what team. Their have been some interesting moves made so here are just some of the notable moves made this week in baseball.

-Kansas City Royals agreed to terms with LHP Jeff Francis and OF Alex Gordon on one-year contracts.
-Minnesota Twins agreed to terms with DH Jim Thome on a one-year contract.
-Baltimore Orioles agreed to terms with RHP Kevin Gregg on a two-year contract.
-Cincinnati Reds agreed to terms with SS Edgar Renteria and OF Fred Lewis on one-year contracts.
-Detroit Tigers agreed to terms with OF Ryan Raburn on a two-year contract.

It should also be noted that the Tigers and pitcher Brad Penny have agreed to a deal bringing Penny to the Tigers for a year. The Yankees also signed a great pitcher in Rafael Soriano. Speaking of the Yankees, it has been reported that Andy Pettite is not coming back.

Their are also some big names who filed for salary arbitration this week. Some of those names include Prince Fielder, AL MVP Josh Hamilton, Jose Bautista, and Jonathan Papelbon. All of these situations could turn out very interesting and I will keep you posted.
