2011 NFL Week 8 Predictions

This week in the NFL it is week 8 and picking four games this week isn’t so great. A lot of miss matches but I found four worthy games to talk about. As Jim Ross would say, “Business is about to pick up.”

Washington Redskins (3-3) at   Buffalo Bills (4-2)

I think this week could be a spoiler week for a few teams. Washington has had it’s up’s and down’s so far this year but I think now that Beck is in command of the QB spot the offense will perform better. However the Bills just magically keep scoring a lot of points and eating up defenses. I have to go with the Bills but I think the Redskins will make it interesting.

Cleveland Browns (3-3) at San Francisco 49ers (5-1)

This is another game that has the potential to be a spoiler. The Browns have beaten teams like the Patriots, Saints and Steelers all in the last year. The 49ers could make the mistake of overlooking the Browns and losing. Do I think that will happen? No, because I believe Coach Harbaugh has got his team very disciplined and ready to play.

New England Patriots (5-1) at Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2)

Most people won’t like this statement but the Steelers have had an easy schedule and I think it will show this week. The Patriots have beaten almost everyone in-front of them. I think the Patriots will win hands down this week proving once again why they are the most dominant team in the AFC right now.

Dallas Cowboys (3-3) at Philadelphia Eagles (2-4)

America’s Team vs. the Dream Team. Anyway you put it both teams have failed expectations so far this year. I believe this will finally be the week the Eagles get it together and win one. The Cowboys seem to be cracking a lot this year while the Eagles just make stupid mistakes. I think those mistakes will be corrected after the bye week they just had. Either way, this division rivalry game will be intense and possible even get nasty. At the end of the day, the Eagles fly past the Cowboys.
As always keep checking back for recaps and predictions each week. Here are the lines from Vegas.com this week:
