R.I.P Dan Wheldon

It’s been over a decade that Dale Earnhardt was killed at the Daytona 500. It was a huge lost in NASCAR, and in racing. Yesterday racing lost another great driver and great man. Dan Wheldon was killed in a crash on lap 11 during the Honda Indy 300 in Las Vegas which was the season finale.

Wheldon won 16 races in his Indycar career which included two Indy 500 races. His Indy 500 win this year was a great story that had a Cinderella feel to it. Dan Wheldon was 33 years old and leaves behind a wife and two kids. No one words can describe this massive loss to racing.
