Baseball Off-season Moves as of 2/22/2012

Spring Training is upon us and it’s time to recap the last couple of weeks of wheeling and dealing. Most of the rosters are set and it’s time to separate the men from the boys. Here is a recap of the last couple of weeks of transactions.

-Texas Rangers agreed to terms with C Mike Napoli on a one-year contract.

-Oakland Athletics agreed to terms with OF Yoenis Cespedes on a four-year contract. Also agreed to terms with OF Manny Ramirez on a minor league contract.

-Chicago White Sox agreed to terms with OF Kosuke Fukudome on a one-year contract.

-Toronto Blue Jays agreed to terms with RHP Casey Janssen on a two year contract

-New York Yankees agreed to terms with OF Raul Ibanez on a one-year contract. Traded RHP A.J. Burnett and cash to Pittsburgh for RHP Diego Moreno and OF Exicardo Cayonestwo

As you can see the moves are getting to be fewer and fewer but their are still some good names out there that can contribute to a team. Keep staying tune for more news leading into the regular season of Major League Baseball.
