Baseball Off-season Moves as of 2/9/2012

Another two weeks has passed by and more wheeling and dealing has gone in the world of baseball. Rosters are being sent and Spring Training is coming right up. Here are some of the moves that have happen since I last posted.

-Detroit Tigers agreed to terms with 1B Prince Fielder on a nine-year contract.
-Washington Nationals agreed to terms with RHP Brad Lidge on a one-year contract. Also agreed to terms with RHP Edwin Jackson on one-year contract.
-Philadelphia Phillies agreed to terms with RHP Chad Qualls on a one-year contract.
-Toronto Blue Jays agreed to terms with RHP Francisco Cordero on a one-year contract.

-Colorado Rockies agreed to terms with RHP Jeremy Guthrie on a one-year contract.
-Cleveland Indians agreed to terms with 1B Casey Kotchman on a one-year contract.
A lot of names from the past who were once impact players have recieved minor league contracts and here are some of those.
-New York Yankees agreed to terms with INF Russell Branyan, RHP Manny Delcarmen and Dewayne Wise on minor league contracts.

-Washington Nationals agreed to terms with OF Rick Ankiel and INF-OF Mark Teahen on minor league contracts.

-Milwaukee Brewers agreed to terms with OF Corey Patterson on a minor league contract.

-Seattle Mariners agreed to terms with INF Carlos Guillen on a minor league contract.

These are just a few players who have to earn their spots again. Make sure to check back in a couple of weeks for a final updated on roster moves. By then Spring Training will be upon us.
