NFL Off-Season Moves as of 3/21/2012

Well things are heating up in the NFL’s off-season with a lot of trades, signings and more. This is the time where teams start to think about what they want their team to look like for the following season. Here is a recap of the last two weeks.

-Atlanta Falcons agreed to terms with LB Lofa.
-New York Jets agreed to terms with NT Sione Pouha on a three-year contract. Also signed QB Drew Stanton to a one-year contract.
-Washington Redskins signed WR Pierre Garcon. Also signed S Brandon Meriweather to a two-year contract.
-Tampa Bay Buccanneers signed G Carl Nicks and CB Eric Wright to five-year contracts.

-Miami Dolphins traded WR Brandon Marshall to Chicago for two undisclosed draft picks. Also signed QB David Garrard to a one-year contract.
-Kansas City Chiefs signed RB Peyton Hillis. Also signed QB Brady Quinn and OT Eric Winston.
-Jacksonville Jaguars signed QB Chad Henne to a two-year contract.

-Buffalo Bills agreed to terms with DE Mario Williams on a six-year contract.

-San Francisco 49ers agreed to terms with WR Mario Manningham on a two-year contract.

-Seattle Seahawks Agreed to terms with QB Matt Flynn on a three-year contract.

-San Diego Chargers Agreed to terms with TE Dante Rosario on a one-year contract.

-Pittsburgh Steelers announced the retirement of WR Hines Ward.
-Denver Broncos Signed QB Peyton Manning to a five-year contract. Also traded QB Tim Tebow and a 2012 seventh-round draft pick to the N.Y. Jets for 2012 fourth- and sixth-round draft picks.

So as you can see the NFL off-season is starting to pick up and I am sure their will be much more to come. Check back in another couple of weeks to get the latest recap of important moves in the NFL.
