Previewing and Predicting WWE Summerslam 2013
This Sunday is WWE Summerslam and thus far in the summer of 2013, WWE has been bringing the heat with the stories, the feuds and the buildup have been fun to watch. With that being said here are my predictions and preview for WWE Summerslam 2013
WWE Championship Match: John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan
Special Guest Referee: Triple H
Daniel Bryan has been on fire since Wrestlemania 29 and he is having the type of summer the CM Punk did back in 2011. The fans are solidly behind him and it would be foolish to not put the title Daniel Bryan. I see Daniel Bryan winning the WWE Title but losing it on a Money in the Bank cash in by Randy Orton. I think you will Orton turn heel and Vince McMahon will have some involvement in the heel turn happening.
CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar
This match is going to be must see. Both obviously are great pro wrestlers, and both have an MMA background with Lesnars being a little more extensive. This match will be great because they are both Heyman guys, both have the same attitude that they are the best and both have always had a chip on their shoulder. I believe you will see CM Punk prove why he is the best in the world and this will be his first step in getting back into the WWE Title picture.
World Heavyweight Championship: Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian
Christian got his one more match and I believe he will capitalize on it. I have a feeling that Ricardo Rodriguez will show his face in this match and cost Del Rio the championship. I think turning Del Rio into a heel again was a bad move and ever since his turn he has lost so much momentum. Christian is nearing the end of his career and never really had a World Title that he rightfully deserved.
Mixed Tag Team Match: Dolph Ziggler/Kaitlyn vs. Big E. Langston/AJ Lee
This has been a great feud throughout the last few months between the two best Divas on the roster. I’ve said many times that they have that same type of chemistry that Lita and Trish Stratus had. I think Dolph and Kaitlyn will get their revenge and the win but what I want to see is Kaitlyn spear Big E. I think it would be a fitting end to the match considering Big E played a huge role in Kaitlyn mental downfall in losing the Divas title.
Ring of Fire: Kane vs. Bray Wyatt
Lets just be honest about this. Kane is going off to film See No Evil 2 so this match will serve two purpose. It will give them a way to write Kane off of TV but it will also serve as a way to get a huge momentum boost for Bray Wyatt and his family. The Wyatt family will begin their rise at Summerslam
Cody Rhodes vs. Damien Sandow
Since Cody has been humiliating Damien over the last few weeks since Money in the Bank I think Damien will get the victory and start getting some momentum towards becoming World Heavyweight Champion. I do however think Cody as a face is good and I think his time is coming real soon but right now Damien needs the push and momentum.
Natalya vs. Brie Bella
I really love the show Total Divas and I love they are exploring the lives of these women. I think Natalya really needs this win more then Brie does. Nattie works hard and does so much for the company I think its about time she be rewarded. Lets face it the Bellas have power because of how they are dating but it really does need to be about who has the best ability in the ring. Nattie hands down has the best ability in the ring and should be having matches with Kaitlyn and AJ Lee.
United States Championship: Dean Ambrose vs. Rob Van Dam
This match should be on the main card. RVD is their to help get the future of the company over. Obviously this match is design for Ambrose to get more momentum as a single competitor. RVD will make him shine but if I were a better man I would believe in The Shield
Although this next match is not confirmed as of this writing I am going to talk about anyway.
WWE Tag Team Championship: Big Show/Mark Henry vs. Seth Rollins/Roman Reigns
The Shield has been a dominant force all of 2013 and my gut feeling says they will keep the tag titles but I truly believe that Show and Henry should win the tag team championship. I am a firm believe in reality so in the real word two monsters like Show and Henry should not lose the first time out. I think The Shield regaining the titles should be a two or three month thing with them regaining them back at Survivor Series. That’s my thought process but I am sure it’s not WWEs.
Summerslam is this Sunday and the big question is, who will bring the heat at WWE Summerslam?
