Results, Review, Recap of 2014 WWE Money in the Bank

History has a way of repeating itself and if you repeat history how are you suppose to build for the future. As always I will start with the results of the pay-per-view then followed by my thoughts. Money in the Bank featured two ladder matches and the next few months have been set in stone.

-John Cena won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a Ladder Match
( def. Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Cesaro, Bray Wyatt, Kane and Alberto Del Rio)
-Layla def. Summer Rae
-Rusev def. Big E
-Stardust & Goldust def. RybAxel
-Seth Rollins won the Money in the Bank Contract Ladder Match
(def. Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, Kofi Kingston and Rob Van Dam)
-Adam Rose def. Damien Sandow
-Divas Champion Paige def. Naomi
-WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos def. The Wyatt Family

I am afraid I’ve got some bad news. I was really disappointed that Bad News Barrett was not on the show tonight due to his shoulder injury. I was disappointed in a few things. I really think Naomi has paid her dues long enough and deserves to be champion. Paige is really choking since being brought up to the main roster. I am looking forward to Charlotte’s arrival on the main roster.  I am also not happy with the fact that John Cena is the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. A guy like Roman Reigns or Cesaro should have won it. People who have been long time WWE fans are sick of Orton and Cena. It sucks that Daniel Bryan had to get fired in the first place. Even though the ending did not go the way I wanted the show was not entirely bad.
I was impressed with the performances of Rob Van Dam, and Kofi Kingston in the ladder match. The match between Rusev and Big E was very physical and had some brutality which impressed the hell out of me. My predictions for the summer based on what I saw tonight and what I’ve been hearing are this,
Brock Lesnar will take on John Cena at Summerslam
Dean Ambrose will continue his feud with Seth Rollins through Summerslam.
Roman Reigns will start with Kane, follow by Randy Orton and then finally Triple.
Brie Bella will return to take on Stephanie.
This summer is the time they really need to put Cesaro, Reigns, Wyatt, Ambrose, Rollins, Harper and Barrett when he comes back into the spotlight. I also really would like to see Charlotte, Adrian Neville, and Sami Zayn brought to the main roster. These guys need to shine and need to start shining soon. The likes of Orton and Cena will not be around forever.
Money in the Bank was a very physical show even with some blood from Randy Orton. A lot of the boys will be hurting tomorrow. I got give it an  for effort an 8 out of 10. It probably would have gotten a 9 if Cena wouldn’t have won the title. We have Battleground next then followed be the 2nd biggest show of the year in Summerslam. It should be a red hot summer for a lot of WWE Superstars.
